Event parking for the Sovereign Center and the Performing Arts Center is provided at all of the parking garages and lots owned and operated by the Reading Parking Authority.

Event parking is traditionally $8.00 at all facilities, except for the State Lot and BARTA which is $10.00. 

However, parking for “special events” incorporates a graduated fee schedule…the closer the customer parks to the Sovereign Center, the more the parking fee. Therefore, graduated rates are as follows:

• State Lot and BARTA garage - $12.00
• South Penn garage, Reed and Court garage, Doubletree garage - $9.00
• 4th and Cherry garage, Poplar and Walnut garage, and 6th / Cherry lot - $8.00

Please consult the Parking Authority for the dates of “special parking”. 

In honor of the 10 year anniversary of the Reading Royals, the Parking Authority is offering special parking rates for Royals and Express games.

• State Lot and BARTA garage - $7.00
• South Penn garage, Reed and Court garage, Doubletree garage, 7th & Washington lot - $5.00
• 6th / Cherry lot - $5.00

*****Beginning on October 22, 2011 the Parking Authority will begin enforcing meters within a one block radius of the Sovereign Center when events are occurring.  The enforcement will be in effect Monday through Sunday between 8AM and 8PM.  For a map of the enforcement area please click the link below.*****
