Surface Lots

STATE LOT
The State Lot is located at the corner of 7th and Penn Streets, west of the railroad tracks. Motorists may access the lot from the 000 block of South 7th Street. This is a double-headed meter lot. Motorists are cautioned to ensure the correct bay is displayed when feeding the meter. To change bays, the customer merely pushes a button on the meter to change bays, and then insert coins for desired stay of time. Up to 3 hours of parking may be purchased at $.25 for 15 minutes.

6TH & CHERRY METERED LOT –100 SPACES; METERS ARE $0.25/20 MINUTES
The 6th and Cherry Metered lot is located along the 500 block of Cherry Street. It may be accessed from the 000 Block of South 5th Street or the 000 Block of South 6th Street 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Parking is controlled by 2-hour electronic parking meters. Permit parking is also available.

PENN COURT LOT -429 SPACES; PERMITS $64/MONTH
The Penn Court lot is located between and may be accessed from the 700 Blocks of Penn and Court Streets. The lot is open for permit holders only from 6:00am to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday.

7TH AND WASHINGTON LOT –140 SPACES; PERMITS $64/MONTH
The 7th and Washington lot is located in and may be accessed from the south side of the 700 Block of Washington Street. The lot is open for permit holders only from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Non-permit holders may access the lot during off-hours by depositing the posted rate in the coin machine located at the entrance.

FRANKLIN STATION LOT - Used for special events only.
The Franklin Station Lot is located between the 600 Blocks of Franklin and Chestnut Streets. Motorists may enter the lot from Franklin Street.

PLEASE NOTE: All garages and lots owned by the Reading Parking Authority are subject to a $6.00 additional fee after 5:00 PM when in support of events at the Sovereign Center, except the Penn Court Lot which is subject to a $9.00 additional fee and $10 on special event nights.
